Real or Fiction?

Hello!!!

Today as I left work, I remembered the conversation that I had with my co-workers. Even though I wasn't there to hear where the conversation started from but they ended up talking about comedy movies, based on true story movies and just stories that are made up due to creativity. I know one girl was completely against watching movies that were based on true stories. She said that she feels depressed to know that it is real. She even said that she got a nightmare once when she watched one. I replied as saying well don't you think anything you watch that is fiction does happen in the real world? I know there are movies that are exaggerated. But what about the love stories or the real life sufferings that they go through?

However I do agree with her, I did feel emotionally and physically down when I had watched one myself. The movies name is "The Stoning of Soraya M." It was a real story about a women. A women who did not deserve anything that took place in that movie. I was teared into pieces. My heart couldn't take it to see what happens back then and even now. Because if I can remember correctly, there are not many true story based movies made as much as fiction movies.

The real question is what do we prefer to see? Real or Fiction?

"Listen to your heart"

Greetings Everyone!

As always, I have watched another movie. It is called "Listen to your heart". I had actually stopped for a moment before I watched this movie. One reason is because I have never heard of the movie before. The other is since I watch movies a lot, from what I know if a movie comes out and if it doesn't take too long for it to be on DVD then it means the movie didn't have many watchers. Basically it might just not worth watching. I personally believe that every movie is made with hard work. Well maybe not all but most of them are. Therefore, I tend to watch many movies regardless if someone who is famous is playing or not. This specific movie is sentimental, dramatic and romantic. It is about a guy who has dreams. He actually works at a small restaurant and does not get paid much. One day a wealthy mother, step- father and the daughter walks into the restaurant. The mother orders her food without letting the daughter speak. She is very controlling. And the waiter who is the guy seems to have a crush on her. After their meal, he stops the girl and gives her a piece of paper with his number on it. She smiles and accepts the paper. Later two weeks passes, and she never calls him. She then walks into the restaurant and the waiter is surprised to see her and questions her about it. She takes out a paper and starts to write saying" I'm deaf". Now if this was in real life, I would assume that not many guys would want to be in a relationship with someone who can't hear them. But, instead they start a deep loving relationship. Later on the movie, the guy finds out he has cancer. This is where it got very tragic. Because he made her get an operation, so that when he gets out of the surgery he can hear her talk and hear his voice. But unfortunately, he doesn't make it.

This is very hard. I don't even know how can someone go on and survive in a situation like this. I was crying when the movie finished. It was very sad, I wanted to stop watching it but I just couldn't. I know that this is just a movie, but I know that there are people out there who lives through these tough situations that life throws at us. But what happens after? I mean can you fall in love again or do you only fall in love once in a lifetime? I know that if a couple can survive through the thick and thin, they become closer. But what if you lose them? Then what happens?  I just want to know stories that relate to this, I would never wish upon me or anyone to go through something like this. But I know there are people out there...

"Sex and the city 2"

Hello World!

I am back with a different movie from 2010. The very well known, "Sex and the city 2". When it came out I didn't have the chance to go see it at the movie theater. But yesterday, I have rent the DVD to watch it. This is definitely a chick flick. There four girlfriends who share different life styles. Each are interested in different things in life. Their jobs, relationships, but fashion is the one thing they all share in common. They love New York City, the 5th avenue stores, shoes, dresses, make up, bags, basically everything that will make you look expensive. They all have a luxurious life but they are all down to earth, fun and real. Now why did I mention this movie specifically is that, there are many girlfriends that are out there that are just like them. Maybe not that rich, but if one of the girls feel bad they are all there for that one person. Just to make them smile and feel better. Girls are very hard to get a long with. I am a female myself, but I know that I can at least admit it. There is always jealousy. I don's even know why, but it's probably in our nature. I have one best friend who I know for about 10 years. We both had our fights, arguments, sad days, happy days, and many more. But I know that she is more than a friend to me. She is more like my sister. We had met in NYC. Then I have moved to Miami. And now we both are not in the same state. But what matters is that I know that no matter what she will or even I will take a flight and go see her when she is in need of me. I have become to understand that through experience. Even though we are not four girls, we are enough for each other. I am just not sure about one thing though, is it better to be couple of girls rather then just two best friends? Watching this movie, really made me wonder. Because the connection that they have with all their differences is amazingly bonding. And I admire that. The movie is not only about the girls life, but also about relationships that each go through. Three of them are married, and one of them is single. One is obsessed with her career and can't concentrate on her family. The other is married with no job and two children who drive her insane. And lastly married couple are just in love with no thought of having kids. They have worries about how long can it be just the two of them and if that can be enough to make the marriage last forever? Well, the single one  is living life on the edge. She does not want to get married and just have fun with young good looking man. So this is my question, how does it work? They are all very different but yet they are best friends.

"How to lose a guy in 10 days?"

Hello there!

"How to lose a guy in 10 days?" is the movie that I have watched couple of days ago. Yes I know it is an old movie. It came out in 2003. Matthew McConaughey makes a bet with his co-workers that he can get a woman to fall in love with him in just 10 days. They go out to a restaurant and while there, he accepts the wager. He is so sure of himself that he says it can be any girl and that they can choose. And the lady chooses a girl, and he bets on it. But little does he know, it's the wrong girls he is about to bet on. Kate Hudson, who is a writer at a magazine line who is working to write on how to get rid of a guy in 10 days. It's a Romantic Comedy. And trust me it is very funny on how both are so sure that they will be very successful on their bets. She does all the things that will drive him crazy and break up with her, and he does all the sweet things that a girl can easily fall for. But when they do spend all this time together, they end up falling in love.

Now, I'm sure at some point in our lives, we must have had a guy or a girl that we could not stand. And from experience, I know I did. I don't really know what exactly it was that bothered me about him but I knew for sure I did not want to see him. He was nice, sweet but just annoying. Well, my point is that it's not only in the movies that we see situations or relationships like this one. Another thing, do you also think that once someone doesn't treat you right more like makes you chase them, is it really true that it just gets more interesting? Because think about it this way;  good girls end up with bad boys or vise versa. This is just a saying I have heard. And looking around seems like it might have a little bit of truth in it. Is anyone out there that feels this way? The movie's situation is kind of different. They start on a bet with no feelings and then once they get to know each other they start growing feelings. Is it the time that we have to give to our partners in order to make things work out, or tolerate them? "How to lose a guy in 10 days?"

Movie Relationship

Hey everyone!

My title might seem a little weird, yes I know. But I can't help and wonder do movies that we watch, seem to play a role in our life? Do they effect us emotionally and mentally? I am someone who watches movies all the time. And when I mean all the time, I mean everyday. I do go to school and work but I always make that time for me to watch a movie. In relation, I tend to watch a lot of Romantic Comedies, Romantic Dramas, Foreign Romance, and Classic Romance. I feel that I find something that fits me in all different categories of Romance. Because everyone goes through relationships and through it, we all have the ups and downs. And sometimes, makes me learn to appreciate that someone. As we might have heard it a million times by now " You don't know what you have till it's gone", the saying never proved itself wrong. I will cut it short now, but think about it when you watch a movie isn't there a point where you stop for a moment and think?
